Colorado's personhood amendment (Amendment 62), that protects all human beings "from the beginning of their biological development",will soon be voted on. Unfortunately, some supposedly-professional medical and scientificorganizations in the state, as well as in the government, are making the absurd claim that thereis no scientific or medical basis for the phrase "beginning of biological development". On the contrary, there are thousands of scientific documentations of that phrase, documentation that has been around since 1883 (Wilhelm His), even instituted in 1942 with the internationally acknowledgedCarnegie Stages of Early Human Embryonic Development (see Stage 1). Such documentation can also be found in any human embryology textbook, and in thousands of studies published in PubMed and other scientific search engines.
