The Basis of Religion is Love

The basis of religion is love. Love one another and treat them properly. It all comes down to loving your fellow man, even if it means losing your whole world to do so.

What is it to believe in on God Jehovah, that sent his only begotten son to die on the cross for you;ÊJesus, who was scorned, whipped, and beat? What does it mean to you? Ê What does it mean thatÊI should sin and be punished? What is it but the Lord loving us and telling us that it is wrong?

What is it that a rich or even a poor man should sit on his chair and be a pig, enjoying their comforts when they can't even sit down and write a check and give it to those that really need it? Is it so hard, when you can afford it and, when you can, that you can't even pray? Ê Love thy neighbor and treat them good, for you may be their last hope.

Prayer is the thing to give when all else to give is spent. For all the pleasure that you enjoy, you could but make a small sacrifice. Ê What is it that we enjoy so much and can't help out neighbors?

It's all about helping and loving thy fellow man, even if it means giving up the whole world to do so.
