Aquinas's view, based as it is not on any 'a priori' deduction, but on an analysis of empirical facts, is helpful in providing us with a solid solution to an urgent modern problem, provided, however, that his principles are correctly understood in their full context and correctly applied to modern and scientifically established embryological facts.
