Dear Jerry,
Congress is considering movement on the Farm Bill--one of the most important pieces of legislation addressing global hunger.
For decades, the Farm Bill has supported key international food security programs that save lives in times of crisis and invest in long-term solutions that help families and communities thrive.
Take Critical Action
The Farm Bill Act of 2026 has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. The decisions Congress makes in the months ahead will shape the future of our global family and their ability to access lifesaving and life-affirming food aid.
Your voice is needed now to protect these programs, including:
* Food for Peace, which has provided U.S.-grown food aid for emergency and development assistance to more than 4 billion people since 1954.
* McGovern-Dole Food for Education, which offers daily school meals--including with U.S.-grown food and locally grown food--to children around the world, improving nutrition, literacy and school attendance.
* Food for Progress, which uses the sale of U.S.-grown food to help farmers learn new techniques, access markets and build cooperatives.
* Farmer-to-Farmer, which connects U.S. volunteers with farmers globally to strengthen food systems and livelihoods.
As people of faith, we are called to uphold the dignity of every person and to care for our global family. Please urge your representatives to protect these hunger-reducing programs in the Farm Bill.
Lift Your Voice
