Question 16:

I have met this girl many times in the bus on the way to school. I would like to befriend her but I haven't dared to speak to her. How can I approach her?

Answer 16:

A nice warm smile would be a good way to greet her each time you meet, even if you don't say anything. She would probably smile back at you sooner or later, and then you could say hello and introduce yourself. After a few of such meetings and more greetings, you would be more friendly towards each other. If you feel confident enough, you might at some stage want to invite her out. It is difficult for a girl to accept an invitation to go out with a person she doesn't know well, so arranging for a group date and saying something like “My friends and I are going to see a show this weekend. Would you and your friends like to join us?” makes it easier for her to accept. A group date with both your friends and her friends present would also be more pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable for both of you.
